EV night tariffs run as low as 6–11c a unit in their boost windows. At that rate a typical full charge costs about a fiver — the same charge from a motorway fast charger runs €25 or more, and a tank of petrol multiples of that.
The charger schedules itself: plug in when you get home, it waits for the cheap window, and the car is full every morning. Average-mileage drivers save €600+ a year against day-rate charging alone.

- Off-street parking — a driveway or private space the cable can reach
- An EV on the way (the grant doesn't require you to own one yet)
- A night-rate or EV tariff, or willingness to switch — that's where the savings are
Probably not, if…
- On-street parking only — cables can't cross a public path, and the grant needs private parking. Talk to us anyway; sometimes there's an answer at the survey
- A rented home without the landlord on board — the application needs the property owner

How much does home charging actually cost?
On a typical EV night rate, roughly €2–€4 for a full charge that would cost €25+ at a public fast charger. The charger pays for itself quickly if you drive normal mileage.
Do I need three-phase power?
No — a standard 7kW charger runs happily on ordinary single-phase Irish domestic supply.
Which charger brands do you fit?
A small set of reliable, app-controlled 7kW units we're happy to stand over — the survey confirms which suits your spot. We don't fit whatever's cheapest that month.
Can I get the grant before buying the EV?
Yes — the SEAI home charger grant doesn't require you to own an EV. Plenty of people get the charger in before the car arrives.
What if my fusebox is far from the parking spot?
Longer runs cost more — the quote prices it in honest bands rather than surprising you later. 16m+ runs get confirmed at the survey.
